- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I think by far this is the best trail in all of the Hwy 60 Algonquin Trails. The reason being is that it is lengthy and a great scenic hike. I would traverse this trail every season even in the Winter time. The best times to come is during Early Spring and Fall. The reason being is that early Spring there are slightly less bugs. During the Fall there are no bugs and the explosion of autumn colors is breathtaking. Be forewarned though that it may not be easy to reach this trail after Summer because they often close part of the parking lot to reach the base of the trail so prepare at least 1 hour extra to get to the start of the trail!By Steve Shew, June 28, 2017
